Concepción teórica-metodológica para el sistema de actividades de rehabilitación ambiental del yacimiento Punta Gorda

Abstract

El laboreo minero constituye uno de los elementos depredadores del medio ambiente, tanto en el laboreo a cielo abierto o subterráneo. Cuba no es una excepción, en el nordeste de la Provincia de Holguín, en el municipio de Moa, se produce desde el año 1939, una extracción minera a cielo abierto, forma más depredadora del entorno natural y con la consiguiente pérdida de la biodiversidad, esto incide negativamente en el futur o desarrollo de la comunidad del poblado de Punta Gorda pues cuando culmine, por agotamiento de la fuente de extracción, estos actores no tendrán los medios necesarios para dar continuidad a su vida cotidiana por la desaparición del entorno laboral fundamental, el trabajo en las minas; aunque existen medidas para revertir o prevenir los impactos al ambiente, no son los más idóneos o no se aplican correctamente. Es por ello que se debe elaborar una concepción teórica y metodológica que sustente las acciones proyectadas para incidir en la rehabilitación del área afectada.
