Suplementación post-parto con forraje de moringa oleifera y caña de azúcar en ovejas Pelibuey alimentadas en pastizal natural y su efecto sobre el crecimiento de las crías.
Abstract
Para evaluar el efecto de la suplementación con forraje de Moringa oleifera y caña de
azúcar sobre el comportamiento de las hembras ovinas y sus crías en condiciones de
pastoreo extensivo durante la etapa de lactancia, en lo concerniente al comportamiento del peso vivo (PV) y la ganancia media diaria (GMD), fueron seleccionadas 12 ovejas reproductoras de la raza Pelibuey, con una edad promedio de 1.5 años que tuvieron partos simples y cuya diferencia en la fecha de parto inferior a los 3 días, las cuales se distribuyeron al azar en dos tratamientos: T1 (Control) pastoreo en pastizal natural y T2 (Experimental) pastoreo en pastizal natural + 1 kg de mezcla integral de forraje fresco de Moringa y caña de azúcar a partes iguales, suministrado en la nave de sombra antesde salir al pastoreo. Se realizó análisis de varianza y comparaciones de medias utilizando el paquete estadístico Infostat y la prueba de rangos múltiples de Duncan. Las hembras del grupo experimental que consumieron la mezcla fresca de forraje de Moringa más caña como suplemento, tuvieron una expresión de más favorable en este indicador logrando incrementar su peso en un 11,6 % al finalizar el experimento. Los resultados de los análisis de varianza (P<0,05) mostraron una mejor GMD en las crías de las ovejas del grupo experimental que alcanzó valores promedios de 121 g.anim.Días-1. La suplementación con forraje de Moringa oleifera y caña de azúcar en la etapa de lactancia de hembras ovinas en pastoreo provocó una mejor respuesta animal. To evaluate the effect of forage supplementation of Moringa oleifera and sugarcane on
the behavior of sheep and their offspring under extensive grazing conditions during the
lactation stage, regarding the behavior of live weight (LW) and average daily gain
(ADG), were selected 12 breeding sheep of the Pelibuey breed, with an average age of
1.5 years that had simple births and whose difference in the date of delivery less than 3
days, which were randomly distributed in two treatments: T1 (Control) grazing in natural
pasture and T2 (Experimental) grazing in natural pasture + 1 kg of integral mixture of
fresh forage of Moringa and sugar cane in equal parts, supplied in the shade ship before going out to grazing. Analysis of variance and comparisons of means were performed using the Infostat statistical package and the Duncan multiple range test. The females of the experimental group that consumed the fresh mixture of Moringa forage plus cane as a supplement, had a more favorable expression in this indicator, increasing their weight by 11.6% at the end of the experiment. The results of the analysis of variance (P <0.05) showed a better GMD in the pups of the experimental group that reached average values of 121 g.anim.Días-1. The supplementation with forage of Moringa oleifera and sugar cane in the stage of lactation of sheep in grazing caused a better animal response.
