Rubén Castillo Ramos: sus aportes al periodismo cubano

Abstract

El presente trabajo de diploma titulado, “Rubén Castillo Ramos: sus aportes al periodismo cubano”, es el resultado de una labor investigativa basada en el análisis de su obra periodística, entrevistas, autobiografía, y otros documentos que constatan su accionar en esta profesión. El mismo tuvo como objetivo revelar, mediante un ensayo periodístico, los aportes de su obra a la prensa cubana. La investigación aborda supuestos teórico-metodológicos sobre oficio, profesión e historia de vida, desde la perspectiva del periodismo; y aportes al periodismo de Rubén Castillo.Los resultados permitieron revelar los aportes de Rubén Castillo Ramos a la prensa nacional; conocer su posición como periodista dentro de su contexto; ampliar el conocimiento de la historia de la prensa local a partir del estudio de esta figura; y comprender la evolución del periodismo cubano.

This work entitled, “Rubén Castillo Ramos: his contribution to the Cuban journalism” is the result of an investigation based on the analysis of his work, the interview to some people who knew him, his autobiography, and some other documents that support his work in this profession. The objective is to reveal, by means of a journalistic essay, his contributions to the Cuban press. The investigation is composed by: Introduction, two chapters: the first is theorical and the second one is related to its contribution, conclusions, recommendations and appendix. This work makes a study of the history of the jobs and occupations an his life history as theorical reference to support its development. The evolution of the journalistic essay and its characteristics are also studied to finally elaborate the contribution of this investigation. The results could reveal Rubén Castillo Ramos contributions to the national press and to know his paint of view of the moment he lived. It demonstrated the necessity of the new generations of Journalist to know the history of the local press, and its personalities, as well as the importance to know the background of the profession and this way understand the evolution of the Cuban journalism.
