Análisis de los costos del tratamiento de la osteomielitis en la sala de ortopedia del Hospital Pediátrico Universitario Octavio de la Concepción de la Pedraja de Holguín en el período 2010 - 2014

Abstract

Para conocer cuánto se invierte en el tratamiento de los pacientes con osteomielitis se realizó un estudio de evaluación financiera retrospectiva de corte transversal que tiene como título: ―Análisis de los costos del tratamiento de la osteomielitis en la sala de ortopedia en el Hospital Pediátrico Universitario Octavio de la Concepción de la Pedraja de Holguín en el período 2010- 2014. La investigación se ejecutó desde la perspectiva de la institución de salud con el objetivo de analizar los costos directos e indirectos del tratamiento de la osteomielitis. Los datos fueron recopilados a partir de las historias clínicas y revisión de documentos de la institución, luego se procesaron en el programa Excel. Para el desarrollo el trabajo se emplearon métodos del nivel teórico como análisis- síntesis, histórico- lógico; métodos del nivel empíricos como el análisis y revisión de documentos. Como resultado fundamental de la investigación se demostró el alto costo que tiene para el estado la atención sanitaria a pacientes con osteomielitis, siendo los costos directos mayores que los costos indirectos.

The investigation was executed from the perspective of the institution of health with the objective to analyze the direct and indirect costs of the treatment of the ost eomyelitis. The data were compiled as of the clinical records and revision of documents of the institution, and then it is prosecuted in the Excel program. For the development of the work employed methods of the theoretical level as analysis, synthesis, historical, logical; methods of the empiric level as the analysis and revision of documents. As a result fundamental of the investigation demonstrated the high cost it has for the state the sanitary attention to patients with osteomyelitis, being the direct costs elders that the indirect costs.
