Sistema informático para la gestión de la información profesoral en los Departamentos Docentes de la Universidad de Holguín Oscar Lucero Moya

Abstract

El Sistema para la Gestión de la información profesoral en los departamentos docentes de la Universidad de Holguín “Oscar Lucero Moya” surge por la necesidad de contar con una herramienta que apoye el desempeño y calidad de trabajo de los jefes de departamentos, pues hasta el momento estos directivos realizan el trabajo de forma manual, esto dificulta el registro, actualización y recuperación de la información, lo cual se traduce en ineficiencias. Atendiendo a estas necesidades, se desarrolla una aplicación Web para facilitar la gestión de la información y procesamiento de los datos en esta área de forma rápida y segura, con nuevas potencialidades que lo conviertan en un producto sostenible. En este documento se expone la fundamentación del tema, la propuesta de herramientas para el desarrollo del producto así como la descripción, construcción y el estudio de factibilidad del sistema, con el propósito fundamental de gestionar la información profesoral de una manera eficiente. En el proceso de desarrollo del producto se utiliza Iconix como metodología de desarrollo de software, Java como lenguaje de programación, con soporte de base de datos en PostgreSQL. Con el objetivo de agilizar el desarrollo de la aplicación se utilizan los frameworks ZK, para el diseño de interfaces e Hibernate para la capa de persistencia de datos. As a means of solving these problems, this investigation has resulted in the development of an application web that facilitates the storage of information and the safe, rapid processing of the data with new functionalities, resulting in the creation of a sustainable product. In this document the basis of the topic is discussed, the proposal of tools for the development of the product, that is the description, construction and the study of sustainability of the system, with the fundamental purpose of realizing the efficient storage of the information about teachers. The development of the product was realized using the methodology of Iconix, Java as the programming language, with support of the database PostgreSQL, the frameworks ZK was used for the designing of interfaces and Hibernate for the layer of persistence. Apache Tomcat was used as a web server.
