CONTRIBUCIÓN DE LA ORQUESTA SINFÓNICA AL DESARROLLO DE LA CULTURA HOLGUINERA
Abstract
El trabajo de diploma Contribución de la Orquesta Sinfónica al desarrollo de la cultura
holguinera, constituye el tema de esta indagación científica. El mismo pretende determinar
mediante un estudio sociocultural, el significado y trascendencia que posee la música de
concierto en el país; así como, la contribución de la fundación y desarrollo de esta institución
sinfónica en el territorio.
En este orden, el estudio se apoyó en las consideraciones teóricas asumidas acerca de la
música de concierto en Cuba hasta llegar a la fundación y desarrollo de la Orquesta Sinfónica
de Holguín. Para ello se emplearon diferentes métodos de investigación científica, entre ellos:
los teóricos y empíricos, a fin de determinar la significación de la agrupación sinfónica para el
desarrollo de la música en Holguín.
Como vía de solución al problema científico detectado, se aporta desde el punto de vista
práctico un estudio sociocultural dirigido a recopilar información acerca del surgimiento y
desarrollo de la Orquesta Sinfónica de Holguín para conocer la contribución dentro de la
música de concierto en el territorio y su inserción en el movimiento de este tipo de agrupación
en el país, a fin de que las generaciones presentes y futuras puedan contar con un referente
teórico sobre esta institución.
La investigación se justifica dado a la escasa información existente sobre la Orquesta
Sinfónica de Holguín, unido a la carencia de un estudio sociocultural que revele el quehacer

culture of Holguín constitutes the topic of this scientific inquiry. The same one seeks to
determine by means of a sociocultural study, the meaning and transcendency that the concert
music possesses in the country; as well as, the contribution of the foundation and development
of this symphonic institution in the territory.
In this order, the study leaned on in the theoretical considerations assumed about the concert
music in Cuba until arriving to the foundation and development of the Symphonic Orchestra of
Holguín. For they were used it different methods of scientific investigation, among them: the
theoretical and empiric, in order to determine the significance of the symphonic grouping for the
music's development in Holguín.
As solution road to the detected scientific problem, it is contributed from the practical point of
view a managed sociocultural study to gather information about the emergence and development
of the Symphonic Orchestra of Holguín to know the contribution inside the concert music in the
territory and their insert in the movement of this grouping type in the country, so that the present
and future generations can have a relating one theoretical on this institution.
The investigation is justified given to the scarce existent information on the Symphonic Orchestra
of Holguín, together to the lack of a sociocultural study that reveals the chore of this institution.
