Aportes de la Banda Provincial de concierto a la cultura holguinera

Abstract

Las bandas de música, acumulan una rica historia dentro de la música holguinera, cubana y universal; sin embargo, a pesar de los aportes son escasos los estudios que revelan ese conocimiento. Hasta donde se conoce, en Cuba no se han publicado libros sobre este formato, excepto un folleto dedicado a la Banda Nacional de Conciertos en su aniversario ochenta y cinco y una parte del libro Cuba Musical (1929), en el que se reseñan algunas de las más importantes agrupaciones de este tipo en el país. De ahí que la investigación se dirige a revelar los Aportes de la Banda Provincial de Conciertos a la cultura holguinera, agrupación musical que arriba en 2012 a sus 90 años de labor ininterrumpida, tiempo que ha representado una de las grandes conquistas de valores espirituales y artísticos en su comunidad. Sobre esta base, la investigación se sustentó en las concepciones teóricas en torno a la música de concierto; así como, el empleo de diferentes métodos de investigación, entre ellos: teóricos y empíricos, a fin de determinar las etapas más significativas de la historia de la Banda y su contribución al auge de la vida musical en esta región. Se aporta desde el punto de vista práctico, un estudio sociocultural dirigido a recopilar información relacionada con el surgimiento y desarrollo de la Banda Provincial de Conciertos de Holguín y en especial sus aportes culturales, a fin de revelar la historia de este tipo de agrupación, por constituir un símbolo de identidad y patrimonio sonoro.

Music's bands, accumulate a rich history inside the music of Holguín, Cuban and universal; however, in spite of the contributions they are scarce the studies that reveal that knowledge. Up to where one knows, in Cuba books have not been published on this format, except a dedicated pamphlet to the National Band of Concerts in their anniversary eighty five and a part of the book Musical Cuba (1929), in which some of the most important groupings in this type are pointed out in the country. With the result that the investigation goes to reveal the Contributions from the Provincial Band of Concerts to the culture of Holguín, musical grouping that arrives in 2012 to its 90 years of uninterrupted work, time that one of the big conquests of spiritual and artistic securities has represented in its community. On this base, the investigation was sustained in the theoretical conceptions around the concert music; as well as, the employment of different investigation methods, among them: theoretical and empiric, in order to determine the most significant stages in the history of the Band and their contribution to the peak of the musical life in this region. It is contributed from the practical point of view, a managed sociocultural study to gather information related with the emergence and development of the Provincial Band of Concerts of Holguín and especially their cultural contributions, in order to reveal the history of this grouping type, to constitute a symbol of identity and sound patrimony
