Abstract

La investigación La inmigración haitiana a Banes. Influencia sociocultural en la comunidad La Güira, tuvo como objetivo dar a conocer la conformación de este componente étnico en la zona, sus rasgos distintivos, su presencia en la historia y cultura de la comunidad, y su legado en la formación de la identidad cultural del banense.

Se obtuvo un material sobre la integración étnica a la población local, las tradiciones culturales y el papel jugado por estos inmigrantes en la comunidad La Güira. Estos procesos, vinculados a la identidad cultural de nuestro país, forman parte de la línea de investigación referida a la interculturalidad, identidad y diversidad cultural en Cuba, América Latina y el Caribe. El tema se incluye en los estudios de la preservación y difusión del patrimonio tangible e intangible, en particular en una de las modalidades de la identidad colectiva. La novedad está dada en la consulta de documentos raros y valiosos, la toma de criterios a especialistas y el contacto directo con fuentes originales y descendientes; todo lo cual permitió reconstruir los datos correspondientes al estudio de la inmigración y resulta un aporte al programa de desarrollo cultural del territorio.

The research, La inmigración haitiana a Banes. Influencia sociocultural en la comunidad La Güira, had as a goal to know the conformation of this ethnic component at the zone, its distinctive traits, its presence in the community's history and culture, and its legacy on the conformation of the cultural identity of Bane´s inhabitants.

A material on ethnic integration to the local population, the cultural traditions and the role played by these immigrants in the community La Güira was obtained. These processes, linked to the cultural identity of our country, are part of the fact-finding referred line to the intercultural process, identity and cultural diversity in Cuba, Latin America and the Caribbean area. This theme is included in the studies of preservation and diffusion of the tangible and intangible patrimony, in particular in one of the modalities of the collective identity. The new thing is the consultation of rare and valuable documents, the overtaking of criteria to specialists and the direct contact with original sources and descendants; all this allowed reconstructing the correspondent data to the study of the immigration, and it proves to be a contribution to the program of cultural development of the territory.
