Asociación de Descendientes de la Colonia China en Holguín: Estudio desde los referentes patrimoniales e identitarios

Abstract

El artículo constituye un acercamiento a los rasgos esenciales de los procesos migratorios, de estos el concerniente a la presencia china, y específicamente sobre sus peculiaridades en la provincia de Holguín. Partiendo de los antecedentes históricos y culturales de la migración china en Holguín que propiciaron la creación de la Colonia China en 1933 y desde la premisa de investigación presentada, el objetivo de la misma se concreta en valorar la proyección sociocultural de la Asociación de Descendientes de la Colonia China en la ciudad de Holguín desde sus referentes patrimoniales e identitarios. Para el logro de este objetivo se implementa el análisis científico como recurso metodológico que favorece la comprensión y valoración de la diversidad de expresiones y manifestaciones culturales, patrimoniales e identitarias, presentes en las actividades que desarrolla la Asociación.

The article constitutes an approach to the essential characteristics of the migration processes, particularly the ones related to the Chinese presence, and specifically its peculiarities in the province of Holguín. Starting from the historic and cultural background of the Chinese migration in Holguín that propitiated the creation of the Chinese Colony in 1933, and from the premise of the presented investigation, its objective is aimed at appraising the sociocultural projection of the Descendant’s Association of the Chinese Colony in the city of Holguín, taking into consideration its patrimonial and self-defining referents. For the achievement of this objective the scientific analysis is implemented as a methodological resource that favors the understanding and valuation of the diversity of cultural, patrimonial and identity expressions, present in the activities developed by the Association.
