Un perfil profesional del metodólogo provincial de la educación preuniversitaria

Abstract

La investigación aborda un estudio descriptivo-exploratorio. Se diseñó primeramente un estudio empírico, en el que se aplicaron diferentes métodos y técnicas de investigación educativa, tales como sistematización teórica, observación, entrevista, encuestas, pruebas de desempeño, y otras, en diferentes unidades muestrales (78 metodólogos provinciales, 9 metodólogos nacionales, 14 directores y 14 jefes de departamentos de escuelas preuniversitarias del país) y pudieron determinarse las regularidades que caracterizaron el trabajo de esta figura en el Ministerio de Educación. Se concluyó que, hay falta de integralidad en el desempeño de las funciones profesionales del metodólogo; es insuficiente el desarrollo de habilidades y capacidades que le permitan transformar los escenarios de actuación, por lo que se determinó como objetivo ofrecer un perfil profesional del metodólogo provincial de educación preuniversitaria, que desde sólidos fundamentos teórico-metodológicos, determinaron qué necesita saber, saber-hacer y ser, a partir de configurar sus funciones, roles y tareas concretas en la educación preuniversitaria.

The investigation is of a descriptive-explanatory type. It was designed an empiric study firstly, in which different methods and technics of the educational investigation were applied, such as theoretical systematizing, observation, interviews, surveys, acting tests, and others, in different pattern units (78 provincial methodological advisors, 9 national methodological advisors, 14 principals and 14 head of staff of senior high schools of the country) and the regularities could be determined that characterized the work of this figure in the Ministry of Education. It is concluded that there is a lack of wholeness in the performing of the professional functions of the methodological advisor and insufficient development of abilities and capacities which are necessary to transform the performance scenarios. Therefore, it was determined as objective to offer a professional profile of the provincial methodological advisor of senior high education that, based on solid theoretical-methodological foundations, may help them determine what they need to know, to know-do and to be, starting from configuring their functions, roles and concrete tasks within the senior high education.
