Herramienta informática para la gestión de las historias clínicas en el Hospital General Universitario Vladimir Ilich Lenin
Abstract
En las últimas décadas, el desarrollo y uso generalizado de la computación con
una creciente inserción de las comunicaciones en el ámbito del ciberespacio, han
provocado un aumento del uso de las aplicaciones web, permitiendo acceder a la
información de forma organizada y gestionar de una manera eficiente el flujo de
trabajo en buena parte de una o varias áreas de una empresa o institución.
En el Hospital General Universitario Vladimir Ilich Lenin es de vital importancia
contar con los datos, valoraciones e informaciones de cualquier índole sobre la
situación y la evolución clínica de un paciente a lo largo del proceso asistencial
que se le presta en dicha entidad.
Actualmente existen deficiencias para la gestión de este proceso y uno de los
factores que incide desfavorablemente es, la realización de las actividades de
forma manual, lo que provoca dificultades a la hora de realizar búsquedas,
actualizaciones o recuperación de la información, afectando la rapidez y eficiencia
del acceso a la misma, imprescindibles a los médicos para llegar a una mejor
valoración del estado del paciente que atiende y para la creación de reportes de
apoyo a la toma de decisiones.
Producto a lo expuesto anteriormente surge el presente trabajo: Herramienta
informática para la gestión de las historias clínicas en el Hospital General
Universitario Vladimir Ilich Lenin.
La aplicación se elaboró utilizando la metodología de desarrollo de software
ICONIX, y herramientas como MySQL, Apache, Framework CodeIgniter, y PHP
como lenguaje de programación. Como resultado de la investigación se obtuvo
una aplicación web que asiste el proceso de gestión con alto grado de
confiabilidad, integridad y eficiencia, además de brindar acceso a información,
relevante para la institución. Abstract
In the last decades the development and generalized use of computers with a
growing insertion of communications in the sphere of cyberspace has caused an
increase of the use of web applications, which permits the access to information in
an organized way and to deal efficiently with the workflow in a good portion of one
or several areas of an enterprise or institution.
In the University General Hospital Vladimir Ilich Lenin is of vital importance to count
on all the data, assessments and informations of any sort, about the situation and
clinical evolution of a patient through the process of assistance that is given to him
in the facility.
There are currently deficiencies when carrying out this process and one of the
factors that has a negative repercussion is that the activities are performed
manually, which causes difficulties when is needed to carry out searches, updates
or to retrieve information, these elements are of significance for the doctors, in
order to get to a better assessment of the patient under treatment, as well as to
create supporting reports in the making of decisions, this has a negative impact in
the speed and efficiency of the access to it. Therefore this lack of automatization
causes negative effects in the realization of these activities.
This current work comes up as the result of the previously explained reasons:
Information technology-tool to deal with the medical records in the University
General Hospital Valdimir Ilich Lenin.
The application was developed using the software methodology development
ICONIX and tools such as MySQL, Apache, Framework CodeIgniter, and PHP as
programming language.
As a result of the investigation, it was obtained a web application that assists in the
management process with a high degree of reliability, integrity and efficiency,
besides this offers access to relevant information for the institution.
