La Comprensión en la solución de problemas matemáticos: una mirada actual

Abstract

Los autores persiguieron como objetivo explicar la implicación de la comprensión textual en la solución de problemas matemáticos, desde los postulados de la Didáctica desarrolladora. Se revelaron insuficiencias en los órdenes teórico y prácticos, tales como: insuficiente coherencia en el tratamiento de las funciones instructiva, educativa y desarrolladora en la solución de problemas matemáticos; así como la reducción de este último proceso a la búsqueda de relaciones matemáticas sin aprovechar al máximo las potencialidades del enunciado para el cumplimiento de la función educativa. Redefinieron el concepto de problema matemático a partir de su asunción como texto y aportaron la definición del concepto de comprensión de problemas matemáticos. Emplearon los siguientes métodos empíricos y teóricos: análisis documental, análisis – síntesis, inducción – deducción e histórico – lógico.

The authors stated as objective the explanation of the importance of reading comprehension when solving Mathematical problems from the foundations of the developing Didactics. Theoretical and practical insufficiencies were revealed such as: lack of coherence in the treatment of the instructive, educational and developing functions when solving Mathematical problems; as well as the reduction of this last process to the search of Mathematical relations without taking advantage of the formulation of the problem for the fulfillment of the educational function. It was redefined the concept of Mathematical problem from its assumption as a text, and contributed the definition of comprehension of Mathematical problems. The following empirical and heoretical methods were used: revision of documents, analysis –synthesis, induction – deduction and historical – logical.
