El Arte de imprimir y hacer en Holguín entre 1959 y 1991

Abstract

El presente artículo, resultado del proyecto investigativo “La literatura y las artes en el territorio holguinero”, se realizó con el objetivo de estudiar el surgimiento y desarrollo del diseño gráfico en Holguín, enfatizando de manera particular en la etapa revolucionaria de 1959-1991. Se empleó el paradigma interpretativo, a partir del análisis documental que facilitó el examen de la producción de los principales diseñadores de la localidad. Asimismo, la aplicación de entrevistas a los autores y funcionarios relacionados con esta manifestación artística permitió realizar los acercamientos históricos y sociológicos correspondientes. Este trabajo ofreció un esbozo histórico y en este sentido se destaca su carácter utilitario y su importancia para contribuir a la educación estética del hombre.

The present article, result of the research project “Literature and Arts in Holguin ́s Territory”, was carried out with the objective of evaluating the emergence and development of graphic design in Holguín, emphasizing in a particular way in the revolutionary period, from 1959 to 1991. The interpretive paradigm was applied, taking the documental analysis as a starting point, which made it possible for the authors to develop a omprehensive examination of the min designers ́ production in the territory. Likewise, the application of interviews to authors and officials related to this branch of art, allowed the investigators to carry out the corresponding historical and sociological approaches. This work offers a historical sketch, highlighting its utilitarian character and its important contribution to man's aesthetic education.
