Aproximación a las tendencias históricas que han caracterizado el proceso de enseñanza–aprendizaje del área de Ciencias Naturales del preuniversitario, con énfasis en el tratamiento a la biodiversidad

Abstract

A partir de 1994, en Cuba se asume la estructura de los preuniversitarios por departamentos, que se agrupan de acuerdo con las áreas de conocimientos, en el caso de las Ciencias Naturales incluye la Biología, la Química y la Geografía, hecho que favorece la interdisciplinariedad, premisa necesaria para el trabajo con la educación ambiental. No obstante, las barreras que se oponen a tal objetivo están referidas a la estructuración y desarrollo del currículo de las asignaturas del área de Ciencias Naturales, la contextualización del estudio del contenido de las asignaturas de dicha área al entorno escolar y la preparación del personal docente. En el presente artículo se aborda una aproximación a las tendencias históricas que han caracterizado el proceso de enseñanza – aprendizaje del área de Ciencias Naturales del preuniversitario, con énfasis en el tratamiento a la biodiversidad, como un caso particular dentro de la dimensión ambiental.

Starting from 1994, in Cuba the structure of the preuniversity is assumed by departments which are grouped in agreement with the areas of knowledge, in such a sense in the case of the Natural Sciences it includes the Biology, the Chemistry and the Geography in an intent of stimulating the interdisciplinary, necessary premise for the work with the environment education, nevertheless the barriers that are opposed to such pretension are referred to the structuring and development of the curriculum of the subjects in the area of Natural Sciences, the contexture of the content’s study of the Natural Sciences subjects to the school environment and the educational personnel's preparation. The present work constitutes an approach to the historical tendencies that have characterized the teaching learning process of the Natural Sciences’ area in the preuniversity, with emphasis in the treatment to the biodiversity, such a particular case inside the enviroment dimension.
