Estudio Bibliométrico sobre Educación Digital

Abstract

El objetivo de esta investigación se centró en identificar las principales tendencias existentes en la literatura académica con relación a la educación digital. Para ello se realizó un estudio bibliométrico donde se analizó la producción científica internacional encontrada en las bases de datos académica Scopus y Web of Science Core Collection. A partir de la metodología PRISMA se seleccionaron 118 artículos para el análisis. El estudio y procesamiento de la información se desarrolló empleando los softwares Endnote X7, Bibexcel, Excel 2013, VOSviewer y Pajek. La revisión efectuada permite afirmar que las investigaciones vinculadas a este constructo se han incrementado en la última década, destacando el 2018 como el año de mayor productividad y la revista Procedia - Social and Behavioral Sciences, como la que publica más artículos. Los resultados evidencian la importancia que ha ganado el tema en la literatura académica sobre la educación, especialmente a través el e-learning y las tecnologías de la información y las comunicaciones.

The purpose of this research was to identify the main existing trends in the academic literature in relation to digital education. A bibliometric study was carried out to analyse the scientific production in the academic database Sciencedirect in the period 1998-2019. PRISMA methodology was employed to conduct the analysis of 118 academic papers. For the study and processing of the information, Endnote X7, Bibexcel, Excel 2013, VOSviewer and Pajek software were used. The review developed confirmed that in the selected period a total of 118 publications related to this construct were registered in Scopus and Web of Science Core Collection, highlighting 2018 as the year of highest productivity and the journal Procedia - Social and Behavioral Sciences, as the one that publishes the most articles. The results showed the importance that the topic has gained in the academic literature on education, especially related to e-learning and information and communication technologies.
