Necesidad de una formación estadística en los profesionales de la Educación

Abstract

La disciplina Estadística fue concebida en los planes de estudio de diferentes especialidades, desde la creación de los Institutos Superiores Pedagógicos en Cuba. Estuvo integrada por asignaturas con contenidos estadísticos clásicos, excepto en el programa de Probabilidades y Estadística que se impartía en la especialidad de Matemática. La Educación en Cuba está sometida a un proceso de transformaciones, donde los Institutos Superiores Pedagógicos juegan un papel importante y tienen la misión de ajustar los planes de estudio de las carreras pedagógicas, orientar vías y métodos de trabajo a las estructuras de las educaciones precedentes, formar a los futuros profesionales de la Educación, y contribuir a la preparación de los profesionales en ejercicio. El objetivo de este artículo consiste en presentar las insuficiencias del currículo de diferentes especialidades de estas instituciones. El análisis realizado, está dado en el tratamiento a la Disciplina Estadística. El estudio cubre las tres áreas de influencias de la Disciplina en la formación de maestros y profesores.

The Statistical discipline was conceived in the plans of study of different specialties, from the creation of the Pedagogic Superior Institutes in Cuba. It was integrated by subjects with classic statistical contents, except in the program of Probabilities and Statistic that it was imparted in Mathematics's specialty. The Education in Cuba is subjected to a process of transformations, where the pedagogic Superior Institutes play an important paper and they have the mission of adjusting the plans of study of the pedagogic careers, to guide roads and work methods to the structures of the precedent educations, to form to the professional futures of the Education, and to contribute to the preparation of the professionals in exercise. The objective of this article consists on presenting the inadequacies of the curriculum of different specialties of these institutions. The carried out analysis, it is given in the treatment to the Statistical Discipline. The study covers the three areas of influences of the Discipline in the formation of teachers and professors.
