José Martí, profeta de su propio destino

Abstract

El pensamiento de José Martí siempre ha estado y estará a favor de la causa del hombre humilde, al servicio de la niñez y la juventud americanas porque sintió y padeció en carne propia las consecuencias de las injusticias de un mundo cruel, y al cual se enfrentó con todas sus fuerzas. Múltiples facetas desempeñó en su corta pero titánica vida con un caudal de importantes ideas que constituyen hoy el fuerte puntal para el mejoramiento humano. Es notable la capacidad de predicción, no sólo en cuanto al futuro de los pueblos, sino en acontecimientos que ocurrirían en su propio destino, y este es precisamente el tema de este trabajo, en el que se exponen ejemplos fehacientes de cómo él pensaba cuál sería el derrotero de su propia existencia.
