Las bibliotecas universitarias desde su surgimiento hasta los momentos actuales son vitales para el desarrollo del aprendizaje y la investigación en las universidades y en la sociedad. El artículo trata sobre las bibliotecas universitarias y su importante desempeño como Centro de Recursos para el Aprendizaje y la Investigación. Se valoran los servicios propuestos para este tipo de instituciones.

The article deals with university libraries and its important role as a resource center for learning and researching. It values the services offered to these institutions and how they develop in Holguin universities.
