Evaluación de la factibilidad de la incubación artificial de huevos de gallinas semirrústicas y camperas

Abstract

El trabajo se realizó en la Planta de Incubación Manuel Ascunse Domenech, la misma perteneciente a la Empresa Avícola Holguín, durante el período del segundo semestre del año 2018, teniendo como fin la evaluación del por ciento de incubabilidad huevos de gallinas semirrústicas y camperas. Se tomaron los datos estadísticos de los dos genotipos a evaluar, tomando como indicadores de incubación el número de huevos incubados, huevos claros, huevos de desechos, huevos pasados a la nacedora, total de nacidos y no nacidos. Los indicadores de calidad medidos fueron el número de pollitos de primera y de segunda. El procesamiento primario de los datos se realizó mediante el tabulador electrónico Excel (Office 2010) y las valoraciones estadísticas se llevaron a cabo mediante el paquete computarizado InfoStat 2012, debido a que los datos no seguían una distribución normal se hizo un análisis de varianza no paramétrica. Para las variables largo, ancho, peso y pérdida del peso se utilizó la estadística descriptiva, determinándose la media, valores mínimos y máximos. Se apreciaron diferencias significativas en cuanto al largo, ancho y peso de los huevos de gallinas semirrústicas y camperas, siendo los semirrústicos de menor tamaño y peso. A pesar de que los valores de la fertilidad son altos la incubabilidad y la eclosionabilidad están por debajo de los valores óptimos para la incubación. No se manifestaron diferencias significativas en cuanto a los indicadores de incubación entre ambos genotipos, presentando variaciones negativas con respecto a estudios anteriores. Los indicadores de calidad se comportaron de forma similar, reflejándose un mayor porcentaje de pollitos de primera de las camperas que de las semirrústicas, siendo en ambos genotipos por debajo de los valores promedio.

The work was carried out in the Manuel Ascunse Domenech Incubation Plant, the same belonging to the Holguín Poultry Company, during the period of the second semester of 2018, with the aim of evaluating the hatchability percent of eggs from semi-rustic and free-range hens. The statistical data of the two genotypes to be evaluated were taken, taking as incubation indicators the number of eggs incubated, clear eggs, eggs of waste, eggs passed to the hatcher, total of born and unborn. The quality indicators measured were the number of first and second chicks. The primary processing of the data was done using the Excel electronic tabulator (Office 2010) and the statistical evaluations were carried out using the computerized InfoStat 2012 package, because the data did not follow a normal distribution, a non-parametric analysis of variance was made. For the variables long, wide, weight and weight loss descriptive statistics was used, determining the average, minimum and maximum values. Significant differences were observed regarding the length, width and weight of the eggs of semi-rustic and country hens, with the semi-rustic of smaller size and weight. Although the fertility values are high, the hatchability and hatchability are below the optimum values for incubation. There were no significant differences in the incubation indicators between both genotypes, presenting negative variations with respect to previous studies. The quality indicators behaved in a similar way, reflecting a higher percentage of first chicks of the field than of the semi-rustic, being in both genotypes below the average values.
