Estudio métrico del evento internacional Wefla de Lenguas Extranjeras, Comunicación y Cultura, Universidad de Holguín (2019-2022)

Abstract

Se realiza un estudio métrico sobre la producción científica del evento internacional Wefla de Lenguas Extranjeras, Comunicación y Cultura de la Universidad de Holguín en los años 2019, 2021, 2022. Se establecen los fundamentos teóricos y metodológicos relacionados con los estudios métricos de la información y sus indicadores, como principal herramienta. Se aplicaron un total diez indicadores de productividad y colaboración, determinándose que en las tres ediciones del evento objeto de investigación fueron presentadas 471 ponencias, firmadas por 389 autores, procedentes de 20 países. El año 2019 fue el de mayor participación, totalizando 279 ponencias. Los autores más productivos proceden de Cuba y Canadá y estos fueron los doctores Carlos Fanelli de la Universidad de York (Canadá) y Miguel Ángel Olivé Iglesias de la Universidad de Holguín con (10 trabajos cada uno). Se recomienda continuar este tipo de estudio en los años anteriores del evento y aplicar indicadores de impacto (análisis de citas) en la línea temática más representativa. El estudio realizado le ofrecerá al comité organizador del evento y a sus coauspiciadores, conocer las líneas que despiertan mayor interés y promueven polémicas sobre las temáticas abordadas, la participación y representación por países y por universidades, así como los autores más productivos y las principales redes de colaboración a nivel nacional e internacional. Igualmente, permitirá a sus decisores reajustar, mejorar o ampliar las temáticas para la presentación de trabajos, concertar convenios y proyectos de colaboración, así como, la edición y presentación de libros y de otros materiales

A metric study is carried out on the scientific production of the Wefla international event of Foreign Languages, Communication and Culture of the University of Holguín in the years 2019, 2021, 2022. The theoretical and methodological foundations related to the metric studies of information and its indicators, as the main tool. A total of ten productivity and collaboration indicators were applied, determining that in the three editions of the event under investigation, 471 papers were presented, signed by 389 authors, from 20 countries. The year 2019 was the year with the highest participation, totaling 279 presentations. The most productive authors come from Cuba and Canada and these were doctors Carlos Fanelli from the University of York (Canada) and Miguel Ángel Olivé Iglesias from the University of Holguín with (10 papers each). It is recommended to continue this type of study in the previous years of the event and apply impact indicators (citation analysis) in the most representative thematic line. The study carried out will offer the organizing committee of the event and its co-sponsors, to know the lines that arouse greater interest and promote controversies on the topics addressed, the participation and representation by countries and by universities, as well as the most productive authors and the main networks of collaboration at national and international level. Likewise, it will allow its decision makers to readjust improve or expand the themes for the presentation of works; conclude agreements and collaboration projects, as well as the edition and presentation of books and other materials
