Estudio de la participación de las leguminosas forrajeras herbáceas, en la estructura de pastizales sobre tres tipos de suelos en la UBPC ganadera "Otmero Peña" y sus impactos en el proceso técnico del Balance alimentario.

Abstract

Entre los años (2010-2012) se condujo una investigación con el objetivo de conocer la participación de las leguminosas forrajeras nativas de pequeño porte en tres tipos de suelos de la UBPC "Otmero Peña" del municipio "Rafael Freyre" de Holguín, y medir sus aportes de biomasa y Proteína Bruta (PB) al sistema para conocer lo que estas pueden representar económicamente por la sustitución de portadores proteicos en el Proceso de Balance Alimentario. Para todos los casos se seleccionaron formaciones vegetales de sabanas antrópicas sustentadas sobre suelos del tipo Pardo sin Carbonatos, Pardo con Carbonatos y Fersialítico rojo parduzco ferromagnesial, que se consideraron como tratamientos. Se prospectaron 9 especies de leguminosas de pequeño porte sobresaliendo, por su presencia las de los géneros Alysicarpus, Desmodium, Rinchosia y Teramnus, que parecieron al menos en dos de los tres suelos estudiados, siendo el Fersialítico el de composición florística más pobre. Tanto en el acumulado de la asociación, como en el componente leguminosa, el suelo Pardo con Carbonatos mostró los mayores rendimientos de MS, difiriendo P<0.05 con el resto de los tratamientos. La participación de las leguminosas en la producción anual de biomasa fue de un 11% para el suelo Fersialítico y de un 17% en el P. con Carbonatos mostrando el P. sin Carbonatos una participación intermedia, incrementándose el % de PB de la biomasa entre el 1.3 y 2.14%.en dependencia del tipo de suelo. Se produjeron 126, 162 y 63kg/ha de PB por las leguminosas asociadas, que representan el 39%, 41% y 30% del total de PB que se produjo en el pastizal en los suelos P. sin Carbonatos, P. con Carbonatos y Fersialíticos respectivamente con aportes entre los 18.40, 36.79 y 47.30 $/ha por concepto de sustitución de unidades de PB. Se recomienda considerar en el proceso de Balance Alimentario, los aportes que realizan las leguminosas nativas de pequeño porte por lo que pueden representar en ahorro de importaciones.
