Efecto de la aplicación de tres fuentes de abonos orgánicos en el cultivo del maíz (Zea mays L.) en la finca La Belleza del municipio Holguín

Abstract

Evaluar el efecto con la aplicación de tres fuentes de abonos orgánicos en el rendimiento del cultivo de maíz en las condiciones edafoclimáticos de la finca “La Belleza” del municipio Holguín. El área de cada tratamiento fue de 2,7 m2, y se utilizó un marco de plantación de 0,90 x 0,15 m para el cultivar Canilla, con los siguientes tratamientos: sin aplicación de abonos, aplicación de estiércol vacuno, aplicación de estiércol porcino y aplicación de estiércol ovino y cada uno se aplicó de forma localizada en el fondo del surco. Para el procesamiento estadístico se utilizó el software InfoStat 2019, en el que se procedió a evaluar las variables de altura en el cultivo de maíz. En los primeros 15 días de medición, los valores medios más altos se observaron en el estiércol vacuno con 23,85 cm. A los 15 días y el otro a los 30 días, arrojó que existen diferencias significativas de forma general en todos los tratamientos. En el caso del T1 difiere en los valores medios de altura con respecto al resto de los tratamientos, mientras que existe poca diferencia significativa entre T2/T3; y T3/T4, en los cuales la fuente de abonos orgánico tuvo un efecto positivo en la variable altura de la planta en el período de tiempo evaluado. La mazorca con bráctea (0,0188), para el tratamiento donde se aplica Estiércol ovino el de mayor media con 44,40 g. Se obtuvo que el mayor rendimiento fuera en el tratamiento donde se aplica Estiércol ovino con 1,38 ton ha-1 y Estiércol vacuno con 1,34 ton ha- 1. La investigación demostró que el uso de los abonos orgánicos con énfasis en el uso de los estiércoles animales, son una fuente eficiente de fertilización para suelos con baja fertilidad.
