Propuesta tecnológica de alimentación para mejorar la dinámica de crecimiento y desarrollo en la categoría ternera.

Abstract

Para evaluar una propuesta tecnológica en la alimentación de terneras a partir del uso de recursos locales (Harina de Leucaena leucocephala y CT-115 en pastoreo) se estudió el comportamiento de 18 terneras de la raza mestiza Siboney en un sistema de crianza artificial, con un peso vivo promedio de 32,77 kg al nacimiento,comprendidas en las edades de 121 a 240 días, divididas en dos grupos con un diseño completamente aleatorizado. El grupo A (control) sometidas a una dieta a base de pienso crecimiento para terneros (1,38 kg), heno (2 kg) y forraje OM 22 (4 kg); el grupo B (experimental) suplementadas con harina de Leucaena leucocephala (300 g), y 2 horas de pastoreo en el horario de la tarde (CT-115). Se evaluó el estado corporal de las terneras, se compararon ambas dietas teniendo en cuenta el aporte de sus nutrientes en cuanto a materia seca (MS), cenizas, proteína bruta (PB), proteína total (PT), calcio (Ca) y fibra (F). Se determinó el peso vivo de las terneras semanalmente por estimación del perímetro torácico (PT), y se evaluó el crecimiento y desarrollo de estas terneras analizando otras medidas corporales: altura a la cruz o talla y el largo del cuerpo. El peso y las dimensiones corporales a los 180 días, así como la ganancia diaria desde el nacimiento hasta este tiempo, muestran que pueden ser indicadores significativos para el crecimiento y desarrollo de los animales estudiados en el grupo B, cuando se implementan tecnologías de alimentación a partir de recursos locales.To evaluate a technological proposal in the feeding of veals starting from the use of local resources (Flour of Leucaena leucocephala and CT-115 in shepherding) the behavior of 18 veals of the mestizo race Siboney was studied in a system of artificial upbringing, with a weight alive average of 32,77 kg to the birth, understood in the ages from 121 to 240 days, divided in two groups with a totally randomized design. The group A (control) subjected to a diet with the help of I think growth for calves (1,38 kg), hay (2 kg) and forage OM 22 (4 kg); the group B (experimental) suplementadas with flour of Leucaena leucocephala (300 g), and 2 hours of shepherding in the schedule of the afternoon (CT-115). The corporal state of the veals was evaluated; both diets were compared keeping in mind the contribution of their nutrients as for dry matter (MS), ashy, gross protein (PB), total protein (PT), calcium (Ca) and fiber (F). The alive weight of the veals was determined weekly by estimate of the thoracic perimeter (PT), and it was evaluated the growth and development of these veals analyzing other corporal measures: Height to the cross or size and the long of the body. The weight and the corporal dimensions to the 180 days, as well as the daily gain from the birth until this time, they show that they can be indicative significant for the growth and development of the animals studied in the group B, when feeding technologies are implemented starting from local resources.
