La Temática jurídica en el semanario iAhora!: retos y realidades.

Abstract

Tras la aprobación de los Lineamientos de la Política Económica y Social del Partido y la Revolución, se han emitido leyes y decretos para respaldar legalmente su implementación. Ante tales circunstancias, la prensa no debe permanecer al margen del proceso y en su labor debe abogar por el conocimiento de las leyes y el comportamiento social adecuado para lograr la necesaria institucionalización del país. El presente estudio, diseñado fundamentalmente desde la perspectiva cualitativa, realiza una valoración del tratamiento periodístico de la temática jurídica en el semanario ¡ahora! Para lograrlo se emplearon métodos teóricos como el histórico- lógico, el análisis y síntesis, el inductivo-deductivo; mientras que los métodos del nivel empírico utilizados fueron: revisión bibliográfica documental, encuestas, análisis de contenido y entrevistas en profundidad y a informantes claves. Como resultado de su aplicación, el estudio revela fortalezas y debilidades en el semanario al abordar la referida temática, lo cual puede servir de referente a otros medios de prensa y a investigaciones similares sobre el tema.

After the approval of the Economic, Social and Political Guidelines of the Cuban Communist Party and the Cuban Revolution, laws and decrees have been passed to support their legal implementation. Before such circumstances, the press should not remain apart from this ongoing process, as its duty is making the people know of laws and boosting the population‟s proper social behaviour, in order to achieve the country‟s necessary institutionalization. This work, mainly designed from a qualitative scope, evaluates the legal treatment given by the ¡ahora! Weekly on such a theme. In order to achieve it, the following theoretical methods were used: the logical- historical one, the analysis – synthesis one, and the inductive-deductive one; on the other hand bibliographical revision, surveys, content analysis and interviews were the empirical methods employed. As a result of their application, the study reveals strengths and weaknesses in the ¡ahora! Weekly when approaching the above mentioned theme; therefore, this study could be useful to other press organs or investigations on this topic.
