La Fotografía de prensa y su empleo en el sitio www.ahora.cu

Abstract

El desarrollo del periodismo digital supone transformaciones en la manera de presentar los contenidos noticiosos. La fotografía no escapa a tales revoluciones. Al insertarse en el nuevo medio no sólo recibe grandes beneficios, es también objeto de insuficiencias si no se emplea de manera objetiva y consciente. Esta razón motiva el desarrollo de la presente investigación que, desde un enfoque cualitativo, analiza el empleo de la fotografía de prensa en el sitio www.ahora.cu con el objetivo de caracterizarla. Para el soporte y desarrollo del estudio, se emplearon como métodos de investigación el análisis de contenido el cual permitió tener una percepción más profunda del campo de la investigación. La entrevista en profundidad y a informantes claves fue necesaria para la solución de las principales tareas de la investigación. El estudio está estructurado de la siguiente manera: Introducción, Capítulo I y II, Conclusiones,Recomendaciones y Anexos. La valoración de los resultados arrojados por lo métodos empleados permite a la investigadora considerar que existen deficiencias en el empleo de la fotografía de prensa en el sitio ahora.cu lo cual puede ser superado con un mejoramiento de la carta de estilo, tanto de la edición impresa como de la propia página, la cual se ha desfasado con respecto de los constantes cambios que experimenta la web y las exigencias de los usuarios. El estudio servirá para hacer un llamado al medio acerca de las deficiencias que impiden el desarrollo pleno de los recursos gráficos especialmente de la fotografía como uno de los formatos multimedia presente en el sitio www.ahora.cu

The development of digital journalism underwent transformations in the way news are being presenting content. Photography did not escape to such a revolution. Its insertion in the new medium not only brought about great benefits, it caused shortcomings if not used in an objective way and with awareness. This is one of the reasons leading to the development of this research from a qualitative approach analyses about the use of press photography in www.ahora.cu site, aiming at characterizing the use of this resource. In support and development of the study, different methods were used such as the research content analysis which allowed having a deeper perception of the field of research as well as general and key informants’ interviews, necessary for the solution of the main tasks of research. The study is structured as follows: Introduction, Chapter I and II, Conclusions, Recommendations and Appendices. The evaluation of the results were produced by the used methods enabling the researcher to consider that there are deficiencies in the use of press photography in ahora.cu web site which may be overcome with improved style book both to the print edition as to the digital version page itself, which is far behind compared to the constant changes taking place in web and user requirements. The study will call the attention in the middle of the deficiencies that impede the full development of the graphic resources especially photography as one of the multimedia formats.
