Proyección de la capacidad de almacenamiento de la Sucursal Comercial Caracol Holguín

Abstract

La logística hoy constituye una clave de diferenciación competitiva entre las empresas, donde el papel de los almacenes en la cadena de abastecimiento toma importancia vital, debido a que han evolucionado de ser instalaciones dedicadas a almacenar, a convertirse en centros enfocados al servicio y de soporte a la organización. A partir de este supuesto se desarrolló la presente investigación con el objetivo de proyectar la capacidad de almacenamiento de la Sucursal Comercial Caracol Holguín. El diagnóstico a la actividad de almacenamiento permitió detectar incumplimientos de los principios de almacenamiento y en las resoluciones que regulan su funcionamiento, lo que incide en la inestabilidad en el comportamiento de los plazos de entrega, inadecuada tecnología de almacenamiento y desbalance de capacidad entre las áreas del almacén. Como resultados fundamentales se obtuvieron el reordenamiento y balance de las áreas del almacén, la proyección de la localización de la capacidad de almacenamiento orientada a incrementar el nivel de servicio, las rutas de distribución y el número de equipos necesarios. Para realizar la investigación se utilizaron métodos teóricos como el histórico-lógico, análisis y síntesis e inductivo-deductivo, así como la observación directa, revisión de documentos y entrevistas, entre los métodos empíricos.

Logistics nowadays is a key of competitive differentiation among companies, where the role of the warehouses in the supply chain takes a vital importance, because they have evolved from facilities dedicated for storing, to become centers focused on service and support of the organization. Due to the importance of what was explained above the present research was made with the aim of projecting the storage capacity of the Commercial Branch Caracol Holguin. The diagnosis of the storage activity allowed us to detect violations in the storage principles and in the resolutions that manage its functioning, which affects the stability in the behavior of delivery times, the adequate storage technology and the balance capacity among the areas of the warehouse. As main results, the reordering and the balance of the warehouse areas, the projection of the location of the storage capacity aimed for increase the level of service, delivery routes and the number of necessary equipment were obtained. In order to develop this research theoretical methods such as historical logic, analysis and synthesis and inductive-deductive, as well as direct observation, document review and interviews between empirical methods were used
