Procedimiento para integrar la dimensión ambiental en la formación de los recursos humanos en Instituciones Hospitalarias

Abstract

Las organizaciones actuales deben trazarse como objetivo estratégico desarrollar un personal de alta competencia comprometido con la protección medioambiental, debido a la vital importancia de esta temática, para lograr la supervivencia de la humanidad en las condiciones existentes. Por tal motivo las Instituciones Hospitalarias en Cuba, específicamente el Hospital Clínico Quirúrgico “Lucía Iñiguez Landín” de Holguín, presentan la necesidad de mejorar su desempeño ambiental a través de la formación de sus trabajadores, por ser factores claves en el logro del éxito organizacional. La presente investigación sigue como objetivo general desarrollar un procedimiento para integrar la dimensión ambiental en la formación de los recursos humanos en instituciones hospitalarias que permita mejorar el desempeño ambiental de la organización. Con la realización de la investigación se obtuvieron como principales resultados la definición de los componentes para integrar la dimensión ambiental en la formación, el desarrollo y la validación del procedimiento propuesto, así como el diseño de los indicadores para su evaluación en términos de eficiencia, eficacia y efectividad. La aplicación del procedimiento diseñado en la institución permitió detectar los problemas existentes en la dimensión ambiental de la formación de los recursos humanos, a partir de los cuales se formularon estrategias de mejoras para lograr su integración. Siendo necesario en el desarrollo del estudio la utilización de varios métodos teóricos y empíricos incluyendo técnicas y herramientas de la Ingeniería Industrial.

The current organizations should be traced as strategic objective to develop a personnel of high competition committed with the environmental protection, due to the vital importance of this thematic one, to achieve the humanity's survival under the existent conditions. For such a reason the Hospital Institutions in Cuba, specifically the Clinical Surgical Hospital "Lucía Iñiguez Landín" of Holguín, presents the necessity to improve its environmental acting through the formation of its workers, to be key factors in the achievement of the organizational success. The present investigation continues as general objective to develop a procedure to integrate the environmental dimension in the formation of the human resources in hospital institutions that it allows to improve the environmental acting of the organization. With the realization of the investigation they were obtained as main results the definition of the components to integrate the environmental dimension in the formation, the development and the validation of the proposed procedure, as well as the design of the indicators for their evaluation in terms of efficiency, effectiveness and effectiveness. The application of the procedure designed in the institution allowed to detect the existent problems in the environmental dimension of the formation of the human resources, starting from which strategies of improvements were formulated to achieve its integration. Being necessary in the development of the study the use of theoretical and empiric several methods including technical and tools of the Industrial Engineering.
