Influencia de la composición varietal bajo condiciones de secano en el rendimiento agrícola del cultivo de la caña de azúcar (Saccharun spp híbrida)

Abstract

El presente trabajo se desarrollo en la UBPC”8 de Octubre” en el período comprendido entre el 15 de diciembre del 2011 al 15 febrero del 2012 a partir de las plantaciones realizadas en un suelo vertisuelo oscuro plástico gleyzado, perteneciente a la UEB “Urbano Noris Cruz”, específicamente en el lote No.2, con el objetivo de mejorar los rendimientos agrícolas de la caña de azúcar (Saccharum Spp Hibrida) con la introducción de nuevas variedades (C90-445, C323-68, C90-317) en la composición varietal de la unidad. Las variedades utilizadas como patrón fueron la (C89-176, C86-12 y C86-503). Las mediciones se realizaron a partir de los 14 meses. Las variables objeto de medición fueron: altura del follaje, largo y ancho de las hojas, altura y diámetro del tallo, longitud de los entrenudos, tallos molibles por metro lineal, fibra del tallo, rendimiento agrícola y potencial. Además se evaluó el por ciento de área que ocupan las variedades en la unidad, los resultados de la liquidación del estimado zafra (2008-2011), comportamiento del estimado (tn/ha). Los mejores rendimientos promedios se obtuvieron en las variedades C90-445 (65.3 tn/ha), C323-68 (55.1tn/ha) y C90-317(68.2 tn/ha).
