Evaluación del rendimiento productivo de dos variedades de Frijol Caupí del género Vigna ungüiculata en la UBPC ¨ Otmero Peña ¨

Abstract

La fase experimental de esta evaluación fue desarrollada en áreas de la UBPC ¨ Otmero Peña ¨, en los meses de marzo hasta junio 2011, en un suelo pardo con carbonato. El objetivo se enmarcó en evaluar el comportamiento productivo de 2 variedades de frijol Caupí , para seleccionar los de mejores resultados al compararlos con el testigo local (Carita tradicional). El diseño empleado fue un bloque al azar con 3 tratamientos y tres réplicas. Se evaluaron los siguientes indicadores: Germinación, altura de las plantas, número de flores por plantas, número de vainas por planta, número de granos por vaina, y rendimientos en (tn/ha-1). El mejor comportamiento productivo de los indicadores evaluados se alcanzó en la variedad Titán superando a los valores reflejados por el testigo. Los rendimientos obtenidos superaron la media histórica provincial en tn.ha-1. Todas las variedades mostraron resultados económicos satisfactorios. Concluyendo que las variedades evaluadas mostraron gran adaptabilidad a las condiciones edafoclimáticas existentes.

The experimental phase of this evaluation was developed in areas of the UBPC ¨ Otmero Peña ¨, in the months of March until June 2011, in a brown floor with carbonate. The objective was framed in evaluating the productive behavior of 2 bean varieties Caupí, to select those from better results when comparing them with the local witness (traditional Face). The used design was a block at random with 3 treatments and three replicas. The following indicators were evaluated: Germination, height of the plants, number of flowers for plants, number of sheaths for plant, number of grains for sheath, and yields in (tn/ha-1). The best productive behavior in the evaluated indicators was reached in the variety Titan overcoming to the values reflected by the witness.The obtained yields overcame the provincial historical stocking in tn.ha-1. All the varieties showed satisfactory economic results. Concluding that the evaluated varieties showed great adaptability to the conditions existent edafoclimáticas.
