El Holguín republicano: una visión desde las fotografías del periódico NORTE (1952-1958).

Abstract

La fotografía nos permite conocer el pasado, pero no de forma definitiva. La imagen fotográfica puede y debe ser utilizada como fuente histórica. Hay que tener en cuenta sin embargo, que el asunto registrado muestra apenas un fragmento de la realidad, sólo uno de los enfoques del pasado. El periodo NORTE constituyó una de las principales publicaciones periódicas del Holguín republicano entre 1952-1958.. El acercamiento al NORTE desde la historiografía, lo ha considerado una fuente primaria de investigación para la historia local. Sin embargo, no existen estudios que analicen la contribución de las fotografías del periódico en la reconstrucción histórica del Holguín republicano entre 1952-1958 Acercarnos a la historia del Holguín republicano, desde el análisis de las fotografías como principal fuente de investigación en el Periódico NORTE (1952-1958) nos permite ofrecer una interpretación de la realidad desde otra perspectiva. La investigación reconstruye la historia republicana holguinera a partir de las fotografías del periódico.
