La Guerra de Liberación Nacional desde la historiografía holguinera

Abstract

En el acercamiento a la historiografía de la Lucha Insurreccional en el período de 1952 a 1958 es necesario entender como los historiadores del patio dejaron plasmadas sus memorias. La forma de escribir la historia permitió mayor divulgación o no de los hechos y personalidades involucradas en el conflicto. Temáticas como biografías, testimonios, crónicas, diarios, discursos, ensayos y artículos publicados en la prensa o en revistas con los acontecimientos militares en defensa de uno de los participantes de la contienda y la justificación o exaltación de un hecho histórico o figura involucrada, han sido privilegiadas por los investigadores que se han acercado a este campo historio gráfico aunque de manera parcializada.Para comprender el proceso de la Guerra de Liberación Nacional en los llanos orientales fue necesario confrontar las diferentes periodizaciones existentes y estructuras adoptadas por las columnas guerrilleras e insertarla en los estudios locales saturados de visiones épicas con las hazañas de los combatientes y mártires del proceso insurreccional entre 1952 y 1958. La presente tesis de Diploma parte de las producciones historiográficas existente de la lucha insurreccional en el ámbito nacional para realizar un estudio sistematizador de las obras publicadas de este período en el territorio holguinero.

When we make an approach to the historiography of the insurrectionary struggle from 1952 to 1958 we need to understand how the historians of the area expressed their memoirs. The way of writing history enabled or prevented the spreading of facts and important figures involved in the conflicts. Subject matters like biographies, testimonies, chronicles, diaries, speeches, essays and articles, published on the press or in magazines and defending one of the parties of the contest or extoling and justifying a historical event or figure, have been privileged by the researchers that have aproached in a biased way these historiographical matters.To fully understand the process of the War of National Liberation on the eastern plains of our country it was mandatory to confront the differents journalistic works and the structures taken by the guerilla columns and place them in the local studies that are snowed under with epic tales and heroic deeds of the fighters and martyrs of the insurrectionary struggle between 1952 and 1958. The present Diploma has its source in all the nationwide historiographycal works about the insurrectionary struggle to carry out a systematical study of some of the publications in this period of time in Holguin
