Evaluación agroproductiva de cuatro clones de boniato (Ipomoea batatas (L) Lam) en áreas del polo productivo Ramón 2 de Cueto

Abstract

Uno de los principales aspectos a tener en cuenta en el boniato es disponer de genotipos con características adecuadas de rendimiento, adaptabilidad, valor nutricional, así como otras características que satisfagan las expectativas de los productores tales como precocidad, vigor vegetativo y tolerancia a plagas y enfermedades. Debido a ello, la evaluación y comparación entre clones es una forma eficaz de obtener resultados cuantitativos del avance o retroceso a través del tiempo en la mejora de los caracteres deseados de los nuevos materiales. El objetivo del presente trabajo fue evaluar cuatro clones de boniato que se plantan en el municipio de Cueto, con el fin de identificar la variedad de boniato con mayor rendimiento en las áreas del polo productivo.

One of the main aspects to take into account in the sweet potato is to have genotypes with adequate characteristics of performance, adaptability, nutritional value, as well other characteristics that satisfy the expectations of producers such as precocity, vegetative vigor and tolerance to pests and diseases. Due to this, the evaluation and comparison between clones is an effective way to obtain quantitative results of the advance or retreat through time in the improvement of the desired characters of the new materials. The objective of this work was to evaluate four sweet potato clones that are planted in the municipality of Cueto, in order to identify the variety of sweet potato with the highest yield in the areas of the productive pole.
