El Pensamiento Político de Martín Morúa Delgado (1878- 1910)

Abstract

El objetivo de la presente investigación es realizar un estudio sobre las manifestaciones del pensamiento político de Martín Morúa Delgado desde finales del siglo XIX hasta la primera década republicana. Para realizar la misma se consultaron fuentes primarias y secundarias que permitieron interpretar el desarrollo y tránsito de dicho pensamiento.La importancia del tema radica en destacar el papel desempeñado por Martín Morúa Delgado dentro del proceso de vertebración de la nacionalidad cubana, la cual él concebía mediante la integración de todos los componentes étnicos de la nación. Lo novedoso del tema es el análisis de una personalidad poco estudiada dentro de la historiografía cubana. Este análisis intenta superar el tratamiento que hasta el momento se ha realizado de Martín Morúa.

The objective of the present investigation is to carry out a study on the manifestations of the political thought of Martín Morúa Delgado from the end of the XIX century until the first republican decade. In order to carry out the same, primary and secondary sources were consulted that allowed to interpret the development and transit of this thought. The importance of the topic lies in highlighting the role played by Martín Morúa Delgado in the process of structuring the Cuban nationality, which he conceived through the integration of all the ethnic components of the nation. The novelty of the subject is the analysis of a personality little studied within the Cuban historiography. This analysis tries to overcome the treatment that has been made so far by Martín Morúa.
