Ecogeografía de las especies proteicas Pithecelobium dulce (Roxb.) Benth. y Guazuma ulmifolia (Lam) en la porción de la cuenca del río Cauto del municipio “Urbano Noris”

Abstract

La investigación tuvo como objetivo determinar la distribución ecogeográfica de las especies proteicas Pithecelobium dulce y Guazuma ulmifolia (Lam) en la porción de la cuenca del río Cauto en el municipio “Urbano Noris”, Holguín. Se utilizó una metodología centrada en la investigación-acción-participativa. Las herramientas de recolección de datos fueron a través de visitas a fincas, encuestas e investigaciones etnográficas. Se encuestaron 12 pobladores, 21 productores, 2 directivos de Cooperativas de créditos y servicios (CCS) y 3 directivos de Unidades Básicas de Producción Cooperativa (UBPC), 2 especialistas de la Empresa forestal, 3 investigadores de la Universidad de Holguín y 2 del Instituto de Investigaciones Agropecuarias “Jorge Dimitrov” de Bayamo. Las especies en estudio se encontraron en buen estado morfofisiológico y distribuidas de forma equitativa en las localidades de Estrada, Gutierrez, Calera, La Vega, Julia y La Cuba. Como principales usos se reportaron confección de artículos, combustible, cercas vivas, sombra, alimento animal y humano. La determinación de la distribución espacial y los escenarios edafoclimáticos tipificados para las especies en estudio, permitieron conocer las zonas y condiciones de mayor adaptabilidad de las mismas en el municipio “Urbano Noris” perteneciente a la Cuenca del río Cauto.

The objective of the research was to determine the ecogeographic distribution of the protein species Pithecelobium dulce and Guazuma ulmifolia in the portion of the Cauto river basin in the Urbano Noris municipality. A methodology focused on participatory action research was used. The data collection tools were through farm visits, surveys and ethnographic research. The research to 1 2 residents, 21 producers, 2 directors of Credit and Service Cooperatives (CCS) and 3 directors of Basic Units of Cooperative Production (UBPC), 2 specialists from the Forestry Company, 3 teachers from the University of Holguín and 2 of the “Jorge Dimitrov” Agricultural Research Institute of Bayamo. The species under study were found to be in good morphophysiological status and evenly distributed in the localities of Estrada, Gutierrez, Calera, La Vega, Julia and La Cuba. The main uses were the manufacture of articles, living fences, animal and human feed. The determination of the spatial distribution and the typified edaphoclimatic scenarios for the species under study, allowed to know the areas and conditions of greater adaptability of the same in the southern region of the Urbano Noris municipality belonging to the Cauto River Basin.
