Models and strategies for the transmission of
knowledge, memoristic learning by students and their
control through written tests are increasingly being
questioned. Teachers, with the appearance of interactive
2.0 environments more open, collaborative and free, can
use them as didactic resources for the implementation of
more flexible, active and participatory methodologies. The
aim of this work is to verify the types of graphic
representation used by students in their interactive concept
maps and to analyses the most recognized spheres of
professional performance of the computer science
engineer, by students in two first-year groups in the course
Introduction to Computer Science (ICI). The historical -
logical, the analytical - synthetic, the observation, the
analysis of the product of the activity and the analysis of the
content are used as methods. There is predominance of
the hierarchical structure, prevailing the vertical
representation in the maps in the maps conceptual
interactive elaborated by the students. The area with the
highest level of acceptance in his future professional life is
software production, followed by the life cycle processes of
the computer system, the computerization of entities, the
support for the maintenance of computer systems in
organizations and the management of knowledge and
training. The use of interactive concept maps proved their
advantages in facilitating metacognitive reflection and their
positive influence on collaborative knowledge construction
and reconstruction activities.
