Diseño de los servicios del Hotel E Bahía del Almirante en Gibara

Abstract

El turismo del siglo XXI se desarrolla en un entorno cambiante influido por nuevas tendencias que cada vez se alejan más de los modelos tradicionales y optan por un turismo más especializado que rechaza la estandarización impuesta por las grandes cadenas hoteleras, protagonizado por un viajero cada vez más exigente que busca la obtención de experiencias, conocimiento y contacto humano. A la cabeza de estas modalidades emergentes se ubica el turismo cultural. Gibara es un municipio ubicado al norte de la provincia de Holguín que posee un amplio espacio para el desarrollo de la actividad turística contando con grandes potencialidades y sobrados atractivos histórico-culturales. Por tanto, es interés de la dirección del Gobierno y el Ministerio del Turismo (MINTUR) potenciar el desarrollo turístico sostenible del Municipio Gibara para el período 2016-2021 mediante la creación de nuevas ofertas relacionadas con el valor histórico–cultural de la ciudad. En correspondencia con lo antes expuesto se desarrolló la presente investigación con el objetivo de diseñar los servicios del Hotel E Bahía del Almirante aprovechando los valores histórico – culturales de la instalación y del entorno para contribuir a la diversificación de la oferta turística de la ciudad de Gibara.

Tourism in the XXI Century develops in a changing environment and it is influenced by new tendencies that differ more and more from the traditional standards, and opt for a more specialized tourism, refusing the standardization of big hotel chains. This kind of tourism has as a protagonist an increasingly demanding travelers in the search of experiences, knowledge and human contact. Among these emergent modalities is the cultural tourism the most important. Gibara is located on the northern part of Holguin Province. This region offers a great opportunity to develop tourist activities, as this village has a great potential because of its historical and cultural influence. Therefore, the Government and the Ministry of Tourism (MINTUR) work together to achieve a sustainable tourist development for the period 2016-2021, through the creation of new offers related to the historic and cultural values of Gibara. In line with the foregoing the present research was conducted with the objective of designing services of Bahía del Almirante Hotel taking advantages of its historical - cultural values to contribute to the diversification of tourism in the city of Gibara.
