Estudio del comportamiento productivo de las variedades de Mango (Manguífera Indica l) más tradicionales de la zona de La Cejita, municipio Rafael Freyre.

Abstract

Se aborda el problema relacionado con la necesidad de incrementar la producción del cultivo del mango (Mangifera indica L) en el municipio Rafael Freyre, lo cual motivo desarrollar una investigación para determinar la(s) variedad(es) de mayor potencial productivo, en áreas del asentamiento poblacional La Cejita, de la Palma, perteneciente a la CPA “Pablo Humberto Suárez Fernández”, municipio Rafael Freyre, ubicada en el Km 17 de la carretera Holguín–Guardalavaca. La investigación partió de un diagnóstico táctico realizado mediante entrevistas a los productores directivos y técnicos, a partir de la concepción de la observación científica. El estudio se enmarcó en dos ciclos 2010-2011 y 2011 -2012, con el objetivo de evaluar el comportamiento productivo de las variedades de mango más tradicionales de la zona de estudio y proponer al MINAG del municipio Rafael Freyre las de mayores probabilidades en tributar al balance nutricional de la población y contribuir a la sustitución de importaciones, con la variante de ofertar esta fruta en el Polo turístico del territorio. El diseño experimental seleccionado fue en bloques al azar, con 4 variantes y 4 réplicas, donde se evaluaron los siguientes indicadores: La superficie lateral o copa útil del árbol en m², índice de fructificación atendiendo al número de frutos/árbol, índice de fructificación atendiendo al peso del total de frutos/árbol, en ambos casos con respecto a la superficie lateral del árbol; así como su índice eficiencia de productividad, con relación al área total de la copa útil de producción. Al cierre del primer trimestre del año 2012, se empleó el programa Excel para compilar y procesar toda la información que se derivó de esta investigación y los correspondientes análisis a través del paquete bioestadístico INFOSTAT V1.1 . Al concluir los dos ciclos de estudio, se encontró que de las cuatro variedades de mango tradicionales evaluadas, resultaron ser las de mayor potencial productivo la Hilacha y Hueso, con diferencias significativas al p<= 0,05 de error, según Test: Tukey, en los tres de los cuatro indicadores medidos. Finalmente, a partir de los resultados obtenidos se diseñó un Modelo Integrado de Gestión (M.I.G) con el fin de promover acciones estratégicas encaminadas para la introducción, atención agronómica y expansión de estas variedades en este territorio.

Finally, as from obtained results he designed Gestión's Model Integrator ( M.I.G ) with the aim of promoting strategic actions put on the right road for the introduction, agronomic attention and expansion of these varieties at this territory.
