Diseño del producto turístico patrimonial Festival de los parques en la ciudad de Holguín

Abstract

Los parques son elementos arquitectónicos que distinguen la identidad holguinera y por los que es conocida la ciudad en Cuba y fuera de ella, con el bien merecido título de La Ciudad de los Parques, tanto por sus valores, como por el arraigo cultural en la población de su uso y disfrute. No obstante a ello, la actividad turística de dichos espacios es insuficiente, lo cual limita a la cultura holguinera de un mayor aporte al turismo patrimonial. Precisamente para contribuir a potenciar esta modalidad turística, se ha desarrollado la presente investigación con el objetivo de diseñar el producto turístico patrimonial Festival de los Parques, evento comunitario que organizará la Asociación Hermanos Saiz, tiene como patrocinador a la Agencia Suiza para la colaboración y el desarrollo (COSUDE) y forma parte del Plan Estratégico de la Unión Nacional de Arquitectos e Ingenieros de la Construcción de Cuba (UNAICC): Holguín Ciudad Parque de Cuba. El evento destaca la calidad de los atractivos de la ciudad, así como el rescate de sus tradiciones y costumbres. Para su diseño se adecuó la metodología para el desarrollo de productos turísticos de González (2012), al emplear además, el decálogo de gestión del patrimonio cultural de Garbayo (2010), la estrategia para desarrollar eventos de Socarrás (2014), las claves para desarrollar el patrimonio cultural en la actividad turística de Osácar (2002) y los principios para la gestión turística del patrimonio de Cruz (2002). The parks are architectural elements that distinguish the Holguin identity and for which the city is known in and out of Cuba, with the well-deserved title of The City of Parks, both for its values, and for its cultural roots in the population of its use and enjoyment. Nevertheless, the tourist activity of these spaces is insufficient, which limits the Holguin culture of a greater contribution to the patrimonial tourism. Precisely to contribute to promote this tourism modality, the present research was developed with the objective of designing the patrimonial tourism product Festival of the Parks, a community event that will be organized by the Hermanos Saíz Association, and is sponsored by the Swiss Agency for Collaboration and Development (COSUDE) and is part of the Strategic Plan of the National Union of Architects and Building Engineers of Cuba (UNAICC): Holguin City Park of Cuba. The event highlights the quality of the attractions of the city, as well as the rescue of its traditions and customs, for its design was adapted the methodology for the development of tourism products of González (2012), also using the decalogue for cultural heritage management of Garbayo (201 0), the strategy to develop events of Socarrás (201 4), the keys to develop cultural heritage in the tourist activity of Osácar (2002) and the principles for tourism management of the heritage of Cruz (2002).
