Luz y Caballero: dimensiones política y filosófica del concepto lucha en su pensamiento social

Abstract

En este artículo son analizadas las resultantes del estudio del concepto lucha, desde las dimensiones política y filosófica, con énfasis en lo ético y estético en el pensamiento social del ilustre educador y filósofo cubano de la primera mitad del siglo XIX José de la Luz y Caballero. El objetivo principal del artículo estuvo dirigido al análisis del concepto lucha como núcleo teórico que aporta una nueva perspectiva para la interpretación de la trascendencia de su obra, en el contexto del pensamiento social cubano más avanzado del siglo XIX. El autor también resalta el marcado compromiso del maestro de El Salvador con el proceso de formación de la cultura nacional. El articulista destaca que el propósito supremo del quehacer social del insigne pensador era, forjar en los hijos de la patria un elevado sentido del deber y la responsabilidad por lograr la prosperidad material y espiritual del país.

In this article are analyzed the resulting aspects of the study of the concept “struggle”, from the political and philosophical dimensions, with emphasis in the ethical and aesthetics aspects, in the social thought in the illustrious educator and Cuban philosopher of the first half of the 19th century José de la Luz y Caballero. The main objective of the article was aimed at analyzing the referred concept as a theoretical core that provides a new perspective for the interpretation of the significance of his work, within the context of the more advanced Cuban social thought of the 19th century. The author also makes emphasis on the marked commitment of the teacher of El Salvador with the national culture formation process. The authors also highlights that the supreme purpose of the famous thinker's social work was to forge in the Cuban people a high sense of the duty and the responsibility to achieve the material and spiritual prosperity of the country.
