| dc.description.abstract | The article presents a thorough analysis of some idealistic and materialistic philosophical-based conceptions and their influence upon values education from a perspective of educational philosophy. The article assesses those trends in contemporary education sustained in such philosophical theories, which constitute the foundation to values education practice.
