Apuntes sobre el origen y evolución de la escultura en la ciudad de Holguín

Abstract

El análisis sobre el surgimiento de la escultura como manifestación de las Artes Plásticas y su evolución en la ciudad de Holguín, desde el triunfo revolucionario hasta la década de 1990, ha sido el objetivo del presente trabajo investigativo. Para ello se han tenido en cuenta las diferentes modalidades: escultura ambiental conmemorativa, escultura ambiental no conmemorativa y la escultura de salón, también se hace una breve valoración técnico - formal de algunas de las obras más representativas. Para la valoración se tuvieron en cuenta aspectos tales como: materiales, técnicas, influencias de movimientos artísticos, iluminación, color, relación con el entorno y características conceptuales. En la recopilación de la información necesaria fue de gran importancia los testimonios aportados por artistas y personalidades de la cultura holguinera, la revisión de expedientes y catálogos de los artistas, así como el análisis integral de las obras. Este trabajo investigativo se convierte en un elemento necesario como material de apoyo para las asignaturas Arte Cubano, que se imparte en diferentes carreras del instituto y Educación Plástica en el 7mo grado de la secundaria básica, además contribuye a rescatar elementos patrimoniales de la historia local.

The analysis on the surging of the sculpture like manifestation of Plastic Arts and your evolution at Holguín's city, since the revolutionary triumph to the decade of 1990, has been the objective of the present investigative work. They have had in account the different modes for it: Environmental commemorative sculpture, environmental sculpture not commemorative and the sculpture of living room, also a brief assessment becomes technical - reliable of some of the most representative works. They had in account aspects such for the assessment like: Materials, techniques, influences of artistic style. Illumination, color, relationship with the environment, and conceptual characteristics. Were of great importance for the necessary information's compilation the testimonies contributed by artists and personalities of Holguin ́s culture, the artists' revision of files and catalogs, as well as comprehensive analysis of works. This investigating work becomes a necessary elementlike backup material for the subjects of study Cuban Art, the fact that it is given in the institute's different races and Plastic Education in the 7mo degree of the basic secondary school, besides it contribute to retrieve patrimonial elements from the local history.
