Valores : ¿formación, aprendizaje, educación?

Abstract

El presente trabajo busca reflexionar en torno a la pertinencia de los diferentes términos que se han empleado para referirse a los valores, o sea: formación, educación, o aprendizaje de valores. El mismo está sustentado en el análisis de una amplia (aunque nunca completa) variedad de autores y posiciones sobre el tema, ópticas diferentes, enfoques y tendencias conceptuales. Aunque el autor de este trabajo asume que es posible hablar de aprendizaje de valores, su objetivo no está en descartar términos, sino en evitar reduccionismos innecesarios a la luz de la racionalidad dialéctica y holística, y de la actualidad de los referentes conceptuales a los cuales se hace referencia o se toman como punto de partida.

The present work aims at a reflection on the relevancy of the different terms used to refer to values, that is to say: formation, education, or learning of values. It is based on the analysis of a wide - though never fully exhausted- group of authors and positions on the topic, different views and conceptual tendencies. Although the author of this work assumes that it is possible to speak of values learning, his objective is not in discarding terms, but in avoiding unnecessary reductions in the light of a dialectical and holistic rationale and considering the terms employed in the specialized literature, which are referred to or taken as points of departure for further analyses.
