Desafíos para la educación valoral

Abstract

En lo referido a la educación valoral nos encontramos en un estadio en que priman los desafíos. Para poner la educación que se imparte en función de objetivos formativos, el docente necesita sobre todo amplios conocimientos de los contenidos y de sus potencialidades para la educación valoral; necesita conocer a sus estudiantes a profundidad y contar con una gran reserva de creatividad. En este artículo los autores analizan algunos de los factores que pueden ofrecer resultados contradictorios si el profesor no los comprende y los atiende.

Values education poses the highest challenges to education. Very often what the teacher does with the aim to contribute to the formation of the students leads nowhere, or even in an opposite direction. Work in class for the values formation of the students is of little significance if the teacher does not take into account the fact that only the students themselves can be subjects in the process of assessment and appraisal of their values systems and that special conditions have to be observed. In this article, the authors analyze some of the factors that may render contradictory results if not properly understood by the teacher.
